DIGGING FOR BRITAIN BBC2 Series Producer/Director, Series 9 & 10
Professor Alice Roberts zig zags across the UK uncovering the most compelling archaeology digs as they happen. After 5 years languishing on BBC4 I led the push to bring the D4B brand back onto primetime. My small team filmed dozens of dig stories and spin-off science features, I also set up and directed an ambitious tent-based studio strand, finally corralling multiple remote edits to create 12 episodes across 2 series which was a hit for BBC2. Surely the most compelling true tale of corporate betrayal in recent years. With great testimonial interviews but limited B-roll, I used creative techniques in the edit to add drama to this documentary which partnered ITVs smash hit drama series.

Commercially funded by Bacardi to promote Bombay Sapphire gin, I directed and filmed a 3 part ob-doc series following the 2 year long restoration and conversion of this historic Victorian Paper Mill into a state of the art eco friendly gin distillery.
